This robust lock takes the place of a standard pin and clip, providing peace of mind with its rugged construction. Its chrome-plated steel pin resists corrosion while the swivel head makes usage incredibly user-friendly.

Be Road-Ready for Wide Receivers: Compatible 2-1/2 Inch Design

Got a truck with wide receivers? No problem! This hitch lock is specifically designed to snugly fit 2-1/2 inch receivers, making it an oversized lock perfect for late-model trucks like the Ford F-250, F-350, or Toyota Tundra with HD tow packages. Its detailed engineering ensures that the hitch lock secures a wide range of Class III and IV hitches up to 10,000 lbs, providing reliability when you need it most.

Effortless Handling: 360-Degree Swivel Head

Ease of use is at the forefront with this lock. Whether you're braving sun or snow, this trailer hitch lock stands resilient against the elements. Developed to comply with rigorous ASTM testing standards, this lock endures salt and UV ray exposure, maintaining its strength and appearance. A weather-resistant snap-on cover keeps dirt and moisture away from its keyway, ensuring that even the most tempestuous Michigan winter won't seize this lock in place.

Maintain Peace of Mind: Audible Locking Feedback

  • Can Master Lock Hitch Locks 1480DAT And 1469DAT Be Keyed Alike?
Hello Oliver, thanks for reaching out. We can provide both the locks you mentioned, the Master Lock # 1480DAT and # 1469DAT, but I am sorry to say we do not offer a keyed-alike option for these. Both would come with a random key number. If you need a hitch lock that works with 2" and 2-1/2" hitches and can be keyed alike, we do have the following: - etrailer Hitch Receiver Lock for 2" and 2-1/2" Hitches - Flush - 3-5/8" Span - Chrome # e98881 You can order as many of these as you need,...

  • How Long is Hitch Pin For Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock
Hey Michael, The Threaded Hitch Pin for Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock # TH62RE is 4-1/2" long overall, with the threaded portion being 1-3/8" and the rest being 3-1/8". It is longer than most, which are often 3-1/2" or so, and I know Toyota users have had success with it in the past. That said, it's important to note that this is a replacement part for the Thule Snug Tite Hitch Lock and Anti-Rattle Device # THSTL2 and is threaded for Thule racks. If you have a different brand bike rack...

  • Hitch Pin Lock Recommendation for Tesla Model Y
Hey Shirley, the anti rattle hitch lock part # HLT would work on a Tesla Model Y and won't interfere with the electrical box but it would only work with a Kuat Transfer bike rack. Is that what you have or are you looking for a hitch lock that is similar that is more universal in what it can fit? If so, the Master Lock hitch pin lock part # 1469DAT is very similar and would work great for that.

  • Cushioned Shank For Use With Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System
We do have an option for you, though there isn't a standalone cushioned ball mount like the Curt Rebellion XD Shock Absorbing Adjustable Ball Mount # C45949-22516 that is compatible or rated for use with a weight distribution system. What you can use instead is a cushioned shank that is compatible with your Equal-i-zer weight distribution system; the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank will mount directly in your trailer hitch and you'll simply replace your Equal-i-zer's shank with...

Yes, the Curt Anti-Rattle Kit for Hollow Shank # C69HR will hold up when pulling your equipment trailer. This will only work on ball mounts for a 2" receiver with a hollow shank. I feel the Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer II # BX88224 is the best for durability. It will also allow you to use a Hitch Lock # 1469DAT to secure your ball mount if you prefer to leave it in your receiver.

  • Best Hitch Pin Lock for 2-1/2 inch Trailer Hitch
Hey Dave, I really like the InfiniteRule Hitch lock part # 34061072-D that you referenced for a 2-1/2 inch hitch. It's made of stainless steel and also in the US, plus our customers have let us know how much they like it so it would work great for you. The only other option I would recommend considering is the Master Lock part # 1469DAT as it has a 90 degree lock cylinder which can be easier to access if the area around the hitch pin is tight. This is also made of stainless steel.

  • Does Master Lock Hitch Lock for 2-1/2 Receivers Come Keyed Alike?
There is a hitch receiver lock which fits 2-1/2" hitch that can be keyed alike, though the Master Lock # 1469DAT cannot be. I recommend taking a look at our etrailer.com lock # e98881, which is made from 15K stress-proof steel, is double chrome plated to provide rust resistance, and has weather grips for better handling in the elements. To get these locks all with the same key, just choose the "keyed alike" option in the drop-down box, and add the number you need in the "quantities" box. I've...

  • Troubleshooting Jammed Key in Master Lock Stainless Steel Trailer Hitch Lock
If the key is jammed in the Stainless Steel Trailer Hitch Lock # 1469DAT then try using some lubricant like WD40. Spray the lock and let it sit for a bit before trying to wiggle the key free. If you are still struggling to get it free then you either need to contact your local locksmith or simply replace the unit. This lock and key set does come with a limited lifetime warranty so that may be worth looking into as well.
